のTV化。ジョセフィーン・レスリーがR. A.ディックのペンネームで発表した小説"Ghost and Mrs. Muir"
が原作。若く美しい未亡人キャロリン・ミュアーと2人の子供が家政婦とともにニューイングランドの海辺の一軒家に引っ越して来た。ところがその家には、亡くなった前の持ち主グレッグ船長の幽霊が住みついていて一家を追い出そうとする。しかし家族の誰一人彼を怖がらず、一家と幽霊の奇妙な共同生活が始まる。やがて彼らの間に不思議な愛情が生まれる。
