開拓時代の面影を残すアリゾナ州コーチズを舞台に様々な犯罪を追うシェリフの西部劇風の現代警察ドラマ。
主人公の乗る1958年型DeSotoステーションワゴンやクライスラー「MOPAR」など当時も今も極めて珍しい車が登場し、マニアにはたまらない作品でもある。
主演のジョン・ブロムフィールドは本作終了後まもなく芸能界を引退し、カリフォルニア州ニューポートビーチで漁師に転向した。
